本周环境类如我预测课提醒的情况如期考察！这是2021年第二次考察环境类别（上次是1.30号的塑料危害）。同时今天题目是说明文，在2.2号直播课上我专项讲解了说明文的写法，并提醒了只要问政府如何解决就是立法、投资、教育三个统一方面。今天全部用上！
今天题目是环境类的老题。在中国大陆考区一般是考察：
1. What are the causes and solutions of the problem of the scarcity of water resources? You should use your own ideas, knowledge, and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
2. Some people think they have the right to use as much fresh water as they want, while others believe governments should tightly control the use of freshwater as it is a limited resource. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

尽管题目形式和大陆常见的不用，但解题思路差不多。水资源缺乏的主要原因是人口的迅速增长以及地表水和地下水的污染在加剧。另一个原因就是工农业的迅速发展。这不仅仅大量使用水也污染水。
解决这个问题的办法从政府层面是立法限制和阻止水污染，合理分配管理水资源。投资开发更多水资源，如：开发地下水和海水淡化，建立现代灌溉体系，增加污水循环利用的工厂。建造更多的大坝也是一个有效的解决办法。同时也需要国际合作。个人角度，通过政府的宣传引导，每个人要建立环保意识，明白水资源的紧缺并节约用水。

It is undeniable that water scarcity is becoming a global problem. Population growth is the main reason for this alarming trend, but some measures could be taken to tackle this predicament.
On the one hand, the growing population's pressure on water resources could lead to a shortage of them. An increasing number of populations lead to increased water demand in three sectors: Agriculture, Industry, and households. From an agricultural perspective, irrigation consumes a large amount of water. Also, the Agricultural industry could pollute the rest of the water with chemical compounds used in farming, like pesticides. Moreover, the industries and factories use a tremendous amount of water in their process. For instance, some research revealed that the meat processing industry could be the leading cause of water shortage in some UK regions. Finally, water used for household purposes could be another consequence of population growth and could ultimately lead to water demand.
There are two main solutions to solve the problems described above. One solution is that water recycling could play an essential role in water conservation. Governments should build new water pipes systems for recycling and should encourage people to use recycled water. Another solution is to remove salts from seawater to enable people to use them. This process is called desalination. It is now used in many countries like the USA and achieved its goal. Simultaneously, through charity ads from the government, individuals should also be aware of the seriousness of this issue to stop their wrong behaviors of wasting and polluting water resources.
In conclusion, water demand is a global problem caused mainly by the growth of population numbers and governments, and people should be cooperated to solve this issue.
