今天的环保类别题目如期而至。之前预测的时候，反复提醒过大家犯罪类，环保类，科技类是第1季度的次重点，而且是必须要复习的常备题型。今天完全命中！
这个题目并不难，之前有多种形式考过，比如考过大家扔塑料垃圾带来的问题以及塑料垃圾会引发的一系列隐患，只是今天用了一个新的方式来考，但是新瓶装旧酒。
说到塑料垃圾对社会和环境的危害，首先一定会讲到它造成的原因，是它塑料本身的特点：无法降解。所以他才会对整个社会造成环境的危害和一系列的问题。其次我们会讲到的为什么会带来环境问题的原因是，这种不环保的材料被人们大量使用，而人们大量使用它的原因，当然一方面是早期国家的推广宣传，另外一方面是人们对这一种物品带来的危害，认识不足，环保意识不强烈。
说到解决方法对于说明文的解决方法是统一的，一般都依赖于政府立法，政府投资和政府的教育引导。从立法方面各个国家都提出了限塑令。从投资方面当然是积极研发可取代型的材料。而这一类题目在环境保护当中，教育是重点的解决方法，通过国家的教育可以有效的唤醒人们的环保意识，提高人们对于这种问题的认知，而彻底根本的解决这方面的问题。

One of the curses of the modern world is the abundance of plastic trash that has piled up around our planet, littering city streets and polluting our oceans. This situation has developed for various reasons, and, although it has gotten very bad, there are some steps that can be taken to make it better.
The primary reason for our current problem is that plastics, which were only invented in the last century, have already become ubiquitous due to being so cheap. Unfortunately, plastic products do not break down easily, and thus when they are dropped, they will not biodegrade. Instead, they will lie in the street or float away into the sea, and then exist as rubbish for hundreds of years. Plastic bags are now used to package all kinds of food, and even to wrap completely unnecessary items. This means that they are used far too often, something that is compounded by our present overpopulation problem.
As with many problems, the best solution is education. In western countries, children have been taught for many years that it is wrong to use plastic products, and so now in the twenty-first century it is uncommon to see anyone use plastic bags as they used to do. Compare this to developing countries, and even wealthy countries in Asia, where we see people constantly and unashamedly consume plastic objects and even drop plasti litter, and we can appreciate the importance of education. If children across the globe were taught how bad it is endlessly use plastic things and throw plastic trash, the world would soon grow to be free of plastics. Of course, other measures could also be considered, such as taxing plastic bags, increasing the number of alternatives, such as paper bags and disposable materials.
In conclusion, the main reason for the current trash epidemic is the abundance of disposable plastic in our lives. We need to educate people from a young age not to dispose of this so wastefully in order to solve the problem.

We have developed a “throw-away” society and are filling the environment with many plastic bags and rubbish that we cannot fully dispose of. What measures should be taken to combat the problem? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Ours is a “throw-away” society strongly influenced by consumerism as we value convenience over environmental protection. We throw away out of convenience, and societal conventions have us move on to the next fad or technology. For example, we are dumping large quantities of thrash, such as plastic bags and diapers, that we cannot fully dispose of. Likewise, we are discarding televisions, cell phones, computers and other used items in exchange of new ones that unsurprisingly will become our future garbage. Under these circumstances, environmental pollution is the cruel price we have to pay for the consumerism culture in the age of mass production. Even though our society as a whole is increasingly aware of the environmental pollution, more has to be done to prevent the problem from worsening.
In order to relieve the environmental impact of the consumerism culture, we believe that recycling is the most effective solution. It is necessary for governments to make recycling a legal requirement, and “punish” those who throw away recyclable materials. For example, households will be legally required to separate all rubbish into different bins for recycling, on penalties of fines. New waste management rules should be introduced to act as a deterrent and to encourage people to abide by strict recycling standards. At the same time, government-sponsored recycling education programs (through the media) can be useful to increase recycling by changing people's behavior and create an environment-friendly culture.
In conclusion, mandatory laws must be put in place so that people who are used to the lifestyle of convenience will refrain from throwing away plastic bags and rubbish. It is important for governments to make recycling everybody's business; otherwise, environmental protection might become nobody's business.

The earth is being filled with waste material such as plastic bags and other rubbish. Is this really happening? What are some solutions to this problem?
Over the past few decades, the increasing amount of industrial wastes and household garbage has become a major problem in many countries. People have questioned what caused this problem and what can be done to improve the situation. In my opinion, two of the most critical causes of this waste material problem are the increased consumption and a shortage of space for landfill.
To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.
To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Besides, the government can enforce stricter laws on companies to use biodegradable packaging or use recycled material. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills. Companies can also contribute by developing new raw material which is recyclable and will ultimately lead to less garbage. One good example of this is that tire companies develop new tires for cars which are not made of rubber but of new biodegradable material.
As discussed above, individuals, business and the government can share the responsibility to reduce the amount of waste material and to save the earth. I hope that in the future our offspring will be better off with the well-preserved environment.
