2020.8.8雅思大作文原题
Human activities have negative effects on plants and animal species. Some people think that it is too late to do anything about this problem. Other people believe that effective measures can be taken to improve this situation. Discuss both views and give your opinions.

今天的题目又是老题重现，2011年11月和2019年6月的原题，也和本周我的大作文预测题库的第八题是相似题，同时也是昨天晚上我暑假精讲班特别讲的题目！今天就去参加考试的我的学生们都觉得非常简单。
这个题目其实不容易，一不小心就会跑题。拿到一个题目看到Some people和others就一定要记住（这也是我在预测课上专门讲解的方法），题目在问why一些人相信和why另外一些人相信。只回答这两个就可以，任何与这两个无关的或者不完全回答的都是跑题、偏离中心和回应任务不完整。所以本文正方是回答为什么有人觉得保护动植物为时已晚，而反方回答为什么有人愿意相信动植物可以被保护。
比如网上有名的一篇范文的第一主体论证段，这位老师写：
In the name of "development" and "civilization", human beings have long ignored the interest of plants and animals.
To build a city, for instance, they will not hesitate to cut all the trees in the area and erect numerous concrete buildings in their place. When the trees are gone, all the animals have to leave or die because the destroy of the habitat makes them no longer survive. As the urbanization process goes on endlessly throughout the world, plants and animals can find less and less space to live.
很明显，这段在回答的是Human activities have negative effects on plants and animal species.与我讲的两个why无关，所以没有完整回应任务，得分不会高！
再看网上更有名的一个段落：
In the long term, however, the challenges faced by wildlife and rare plant species can be combated.
First, if a greener lifestyle could be achieved through education, more people would adopt a lifestyle in which less fossil fuel will be consumed, which could positively contribute to mitigating the greenhouse effect and restoring a habitable environment for animals and plants.
Developing new technologies is another effective solution. For instance, cloning and gene-editing technologies may be used in the future to increase the number of endangered species until they can be re-introduced into the wild.
全段都在回答如果保护动物我们要怎么做，也就是在写what can we do而不是why we believe this can be done。偏离中心也不会有很好的任务回应得分。

During the past centuries, a great number of species have died out as a result of human activities. This trend, which is continuing at a higher rate, has aroused widespread concern.
Some people are pessimistic about this issue and consider it to be too late to take any action. It is impossible to bring those extinct species back to life and the meaning of these species seems to be insignificant. Also, there is a wide recognition that the sacrifice of plants and animals is unavoidable, or even necessary in the process of people's development. So nothing can prevent people from felling woods and hunting whales because they need resources to maintain the high standard of living.
On the other hand, other people insist that some measures can be taken to combat the situation. For instance, the establishment of natural reserves has proved to be an effective way to protect endangered species. In some countries, laws are enforced to ban the trade of products made of animal skin and organs, which helps to crack down the poaching of wild animals. Therefore, it is never too late to remedy the situation and what requires is people 's resolve and action.
In my point of view, the situation will deteriorate and the consequences can be disastrous if we fail to realize the urgent need of protecting wild plants and animals. The extinction of species and the destruction of their habitats may lead to natural disasters. Being too late is nothing but an excuse and the protection of endangered species allows no delay.
